About Me
I'm Maria Valentina "Mava" Gomez, a filmmaker and artist from Caracas, Venezuela. I live in Los Angeles, CA and earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Filmmaking in 2020. I've always been very passionate about the arts, starting from painting all the way to film. However, I specialize in writing and directing.

My goal is to make whoever watches my films feel something; wether that is happiness, sadness, anger or fear, as long as my art is connecting with their emotions, I'll be content.

Currently I'm available for freelance work as I spend my free time working on my first novel!
I'm bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. I can provide work in both languages without a problem.
Expertise
I had my debut as a writer for TV with The Weather Channel's brand new show titled "Uncharted Adventure", a travel-documentary that seeks to highlight the most thrilling and mesmerizing locations in the world.
Most recently I worked hand-in-hand with Unicef Ecuador and provided them their ideal script for their soon to be produced short, "Dueles".
During 2022 I decided to venture into the world of film photography without realizing how much I'd love it. It has now become one of my biggest passions and have started to produce my own photography shoots.
Location
I'm located in Los Angeles, CA. Under agreement and the right circumstances, I can relocate to different areas for work if needed.
